Election Commissioner, District and Session Judge, Ahmed Saba held a meeting with concerned officials of KBA to discuss the city's situation, which has barred a large number of lawyers to attend the polls. There were fears that the city's tense situation will scale down the voters at polls.
Latter, talking to newsmen, President KBA, Mehmoodul Hassan said that all arrangements for smooth polling had been made but the overnight growing tension in the city caused the postponement of the election. There are 5,885 eligible voters of KBA who will now participate in December 19 polls.
There are three candidates contesting for President's slot including Noor Naz Aga, Nadeem Qureshi and Imran Butt. For General Secretary, Kashif Anis, Muhammad Javed Memon, Muhammad Azam Khan and Munsif Jan are contesting. Abdul Sammad, Aftab Ahmed and Muhammad Aamir are fighting on joint secretary position while Abdul Qadir, Dilbar Ijaz and Munir Ahmed Malik on treasurer's slot. There are 39 candidates who are contesting on 11 posts of managing committee.
